Executive Director Job Posting

Job Summary:
The Executive Director will work closely in conjunction with the Board of Directors and will be
responsible for implementing the mission of the People’s Pantry as well as daily operations. This
position includes scheduling and carrying out pantry bag distributions, receiving and tracking food
donations, maintaining a food inventory system, supervision of volunteers for packaging and
distribution of food, and data entry.

Food Pickup Available Again

Dear Rochester Community, Thank you for your patience and understanding while our food service was temporarily suspended. We’re now available for food pickup on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30 am to 12 pm.  Your household can get emergency food from us once every 4 weeks.  When you arrive, please bring a photo ID with you. Food Deliveries and Food Pickups – a temporary suspension

Dear Rochester Community, The People’s Pantry needs to make some changes to our services, procedures and schedule. As a result, we will temporarily suspend both food deliveries and food pickups following our Saturday, January 14th service day. Both food pickups and home delivery will be suspended during this time for approximately one month. Please check back in for more information. Goodbye South Wedge, Hello People’s Pantry

The last year-and-a-half has been a pivotal time in the history of South Wedge Food Pantry. The Covid-19 pandemic, and our decision to keep serving our clients, changed us for the better. We transformed into the largest free grocery delivery service in all of Rochester, serving thousands of people each month, either by delivery or from our front door.
