Our Fundraising Appeal for the Summer of 2023

To our dear supporters,

As one of the largest food pantries in the Rochester area, The People’s Pantry mission is to provide access to nutritious food for our community members in need without creating any barriers.

As many of you may know, reductions in Covid emergency funding has led to a dramatic decline in funding for food assistance, coupled with the City’s poverty rate of almost 33%, our community faces a real challenge to feed its own people. Our team at The People’s Pantry of dedicated staff and volunteers has stepped up to get food to people in need, providing food and household necessities to more than 600 households each month

The next stage of initiatives at The People’s Pantry are to implement a grocery store setup for clients to choose the food they bring home, and expand our efforts to provide “wraparound” services, which helps us connect our clients with other area agencies that can offer additional services, such as access to affordable housing and health care.

The needs are no doubt great, but you can help us with this important work. If you have donated money to support our efforts in the past, thank you. If you have not, we would be very excited to welcome you as a new supporter. Can you support The People’s Pantry in one of the following ways?

  • Provide a Monthly Food Bag for 1 Household: $8/month or $96/year
  • Provide a Monthly Food Bag for 2 Households: $16/month or $192/year
  • Provide a Monthly Food Bag for 3 Households: $24/month or $288/year
  • Provide a Monthly Food Bag for 4 Households: $32/month or $384/year
  • Sponsor the Pantry for a Day: $750
  • Sponsor the Pantry for a Week: $2,500
